Alive in Afghanistan is a project of Small World News. The project began in 2009 as an effort to provide more context to the coverage of Afghanistan's presidential election. Through sourcing reports from Pajhwok, Afghanistan's leading local news agency, Alive in Afghanistan helped shed light on the massive fraud that occurred.

Now Alive in Afghanistan has again partnered with Pajhwok to provide real-time coverage from all over Afghanistan via live updates from Pajhwok reporters. As polls close we will endeavor to map the reports of FEFA and Democracy International, as well as any other reports available.

We hope that by combining reporting from Afghan journalists, news reports, and data from Election Observation Missions, Small World News can provide the world a timely and comprehensive understanding of events during Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga Parliamentary Election.
